Wes Bonifay, Ph.D.

Wes is an Associate Professor in Statistics, Measurement, and Evaluation in Education at the University of Missouri and the Director of Measurement at the Missouri Prevention Science Institute. His research focuses on developing, evaluating, and refining statistical methods and models, with a primary emphasis on the analysis of educational and psychological testing data. He is currently the Principal Investigator of a federally-funded project entitled Innovative, Translational, and User-Friendly Tools for Comprehensive Statistical Model Evaluation (IES Grant R305D210032). Sonja Winter, Ph.D.

Sonja earned her doctoral degree in Quantitative Methods, Measurement, and Statistics from the University of California, Merced. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Missouri Prevention Science Institute under the mentorship of Dr. Bonifay. Her research focuses on the ways in which Bayesian estimation can be used to enrich the analysis of educational and psychological data. You can access her CV here.
Hanamori Skoblow, M.S.

Hanamori is pursuing her doctorate in Human Development and Family Science at the University of Missouri. A gerontologist, her research focuses on the intersections of social relationships, views on aging, and health across the life course. Hyejin Shim, Ph.D.

Hyejin received her doctoral degree in Statistics, Measurement, and Evaluation in Education from the University of Missouri. She is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the Laureate Institute for Brain Research at the University of Tulsa. Her work focuses on developing and evaluating alternatives to the traditional statistical models used in item response theory and in applying IRT methods to validate neuroimaging data.
Affiliates
Li Cai, Ph.D., is a Professor of Advanced Quantitative Methods in the Graduate School of Education and Information Studies at UCLA. He is the Co-Principal Investigator of the CoSME grant.
Yon Soo Suh is a doctoral candidate in Advanced Quantitative Methods at UCLA working under the supervision of Dr. Cai.
Ashley L. Watts, Ph.D. is an assistant research professor in Clinical Psychology in the Department of Psychological Sciences at the University of Missouri.
